After a rather tough play, KOCAELİSPOR's Gökhan Akbaşak got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 6th match minute, KOCAELİSPOR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arif Burak Çimen to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Karaburun FC booed when KOCAELİSPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mickey Batshuayi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, KOCAELİSPOR's Mickey Batshuayi got a free kick in the 10th minute. In the 16th minute, KOCAELİSPOR's Wilfred Zaha dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Cumali Aktaç showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kıraç Hataylı in the 23rd minute of the match. Mickey Batshuayi's late challenge caught a Karaburun FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mickey Batshuayi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 30th match minute, KOCAELİSPOR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mickey Batshuayi to maneuver through the defense. If Kıraç Hataylı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vacib Bucak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mickey Batshuayi in the 36th minute. Mickey Batshuayi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Vacib Bucak came out and tried to block the shot, but Mickey Batshuayi slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 36th minute. In the 38th minute, Hazım Cenan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Karaburun FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Cumali Aktaç made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hazım Cenan in the 44th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Mickey Batshuayi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vacib Bucak read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd minute, Wilfred Zaha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KOCAELİSPOR fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. KOCAELİSPOR's Cumali Aktaç played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hazım Cenan in the 62nd minute of play. Aysan Kazan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cumali Aktaç having to interfere. After some careless play in the KOCAELİSPOR defense, Halit Fahri Sulhi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cumali Aktaç. The KOCAELİSPOR fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cumali Aktaç should have stopped the shot. 71 minutes into the game, one of KOCAELİSPOR:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Many of Karaburun FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Karaburun FC may have spent more time on the ball, but KOCAELİSPOR were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
