Gary Kelly made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Gary Kelly was a little too slow when Sebati Çiftçibaşı got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 2-0. Harchester United's Neil Long played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Spike Foley in the 20th minute of play. Neil Long didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Spike Foley went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Ash Sands fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gary Kelly having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético de Newell's zone, Sebati Çiftçibaşı stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gary Kelly came out of the goal and Sebati Çiftçibaşı tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atlético de Newell's goalkeeper Gary Kelly, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sebastian Percival made a kick off. Sebati Çiftçibaşı sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 58 minutes into the match, Harchester United's Sebati Çiftçibaşı sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gary Kelly narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Harchester United booed when Club Atlético de Newell was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Devon Howson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Harchester United made a substitution. Trevor Murray replaced Randall Burton. Devon Howson kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Gary Kelly took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emiliano Fidele, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Emiliano Fidele's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gary Kelly was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Harchester United's zone, Pastor Eufemio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Neil Long came out of the goal and Pastor Eufemio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Club Atlético de Newell made a substitution. William Dunning replaced Arbi Newell. In the 82nd minute, Spike Foley made a precise shot to the right of Neil Long. Harchester United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Harchester United's Emiliano Fidele managed to work through Club Atlético de Newell's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Emiliano Fidele dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After 89th play minutes Emiliano Fidele shot 4-2, a short shot which went by Gary Kelly and just under the crossbar into goal. Gary Kelly made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Louis Lumb in the 92nd minute of play. Harchester United's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
