CSKA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ПФК Берое the free kick. 13 minutes into the match, ПФК Берое's goalkeeper Hugo Lloris had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gergin Toninski. Gergin Toninski took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hugo Lloris. Hugo Lloris dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Velichko Trenkov in the 19th minute of play forced CSKA's goalkeeper Vergil Monchev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gergin Toninski struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Hugo Lloris didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CSKA. Trendafil Mihalkov made in the 22nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Koulis Varakis immediately put the ball in play. Vergil Monchev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Velichko Trenkov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gergin Toninskis short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Hugo Lloris to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Penko Stamatov in the 38th minute of play forced CSKA's goalkeeper Vergil Monchev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, ПФК Берое's Rangel Getov got a free kick in the 39th minute.

The wind increased when Penko Stamatov made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 54 minutes, Penko Stamatov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hugo Lloris was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Trendafil Mihalkov charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Trendafil Mihalkov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of ПФК Берое booed when CSKA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trendafil Mihalkov didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Velichko Trenkov came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the ПФК Берое fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Velichko Trenkov couldn't finish the play. Hugo Lloris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gergin Toninski, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Mihail Stamboldzhiev hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Hugo Lloris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gergin Toninski in the 75th minute of play. After a rather tough play, ПФК Берое's Mihail Stamboldzhiev got a free kick in the 76th minute. The supporters of CSKA booed when ПФК Берое was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mihail Stamboldzhiev didn't get a good kick on the ball. CSKA's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
