The audience was convinced that Nicolas Sancho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Brian Johnson was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. After 13 played minutes Boquenses got a freekick which was hit by Gregorio Tirso. Rodrigo Ferdinand might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Brian Johnson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rodrigo Ferdinand ran back to his position shaking his head. 16 minutes into the match, 1947 FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Ferdinand came free, but Brian Johnson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 1947 FC's Brian Johnson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas Sancho in the 21st minute of play. After 23 minutes of play, Boquenses's Rodrigo Ferdinand made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Brian Johnson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nicolas Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nicolas Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brian Johnson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. In the 35th minute Nicolas Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brian Johnson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Boquenses booed when 1947 FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodoro Escobar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brian Johnson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rodrigo Ferdinand's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. After some careless play in the 1947 FC defense, Rodrigo Ferdinand kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Brian Johnson. The 1947 FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Brian Johnson should have stopped the shot. A collision led to 1947 FC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Javier Xabat hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The wind increased when Nicolas Sancho made the kick off in the second half. Rodrigo Ferdinand struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Brian Johnson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boquenses. Andrzej Mlekodaj fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobias Osoro having to interfere. Boquenses's Siro Eguerdi was substituted for Gregorio Tirso. The crowd rose to their feet as Rodrigo Ferdinand kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Brian Johnson. That made the score 0-4 in the 65 minute of play. Javier Xabat's late challenge caught a Boquenses's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Javier Xabat helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to 1947 FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Javier Xabat hit a great ball. Boquenses's Rômulo de Lima was substituted for Nunez Gabino. After 73 played minutes 1947 FC got a freekick which was hit by Javier Xabat. Brian Johnson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Ferdinand in the 74th minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, 1947 FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Ferdinand came free, but Brian Johnson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 1947 FC's Brian Johnson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Ferdinand in the 79th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Ferdinand in the 84th minute of play forced 1947 FC's goalkeeper Brian Johnson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brian Johnson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Ferdinand in the 91st minute of play. After 93 minutes of play, 1947 FC's Andrzej Mlekodaj made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tobias Osoro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Boquenses played a much better game than 1947 FC and deserved their victory. The 1947 FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
