The referee ignored FC Žalia Giria's protests and gave Saúl Gentiletti a yellow card for diving instead. Saúl Gentiletti kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Sandu Musteatã blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adolfo Carrizo having to make a save. In the 35th minute, Tadeusz Pracki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emil Scobioalã fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Carrizo having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, FC Žalia Giria's goal looked a bit too open when Emil Scobioalã came free, but Adolfo Carrizo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Saúl Gentiletti was shown his second yellow card after 46 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of UFC Puturoasa booed when FC Žalia Giria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saúl Gentiletti didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 56thth minute of the game Jack Grealish who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but UFC Puturoasa's Carlos Alberto Salgado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emil Scobioalã in the 57th minute of play forced FC Žalia Giria's goalkeeper Adolfo Carrizo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adolfo Carrizo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emil Scobioalã in the 61st minute of play. A collision led to FC Žalia Giria getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Rokas Kavaliauskas hit a great ball. In the 67th minute, Jack Grealish hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adolfo Carrizo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emil Scobioalã, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Vadim Brãgutã kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Vadim Brãgutã hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 83rd play minute Sandu Musteatã came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Adolfo Carrizo. 1-1.
