Jean Fernandez took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adam Doykin. Adam Doykin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 9th minute C.A Gryffindor were awarded a corner. Ramiro Passos went to the cornerflag to take it. Benê de Mendonça showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caetano Saad in the 13th minute of the match. Celsinho Castro made in the 17th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Gildo Cearense however managed to control. After a rather tough play, C.A Gryffindor's Fulgencio Chaime got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 18th minute of the match Caetano Saad sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benê de Mendonça skillfully saved the ball. Mathías Villasante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mathías Villasante hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Rossi in the 24th minute of play forced C.A Gryffindor's goalkeeper Benê de Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When C.A Gryffindor's Jean Fernandez in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CE LAJEADENSE RS's goalie prevented a goal. CE LAJEADENSE RS's Adam Doykin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardinho Trigo in the 28th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Gilvan Moura managed to get in a good position for a shot. CE LAJEADENSE RS's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilvan Moura was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benê de Mendonça breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benê de Mendonça came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by CE LAJEADENSE RS's Caetano Saad. But to his dismay, Caetano Saad quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After a rather tough play, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Gilvan Moura got a free kick in the 36th minute. 37 minutes into the game, Jean Fernandez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Adam Doykin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Benê de Mendonça took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gildo Cearense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jean Fernandez in the 45th minute of play forced CE LAJEADENSE RS's goalkeeper Adam Doykin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jean Fernandez in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adam Doykin saved CE LAJEADENSE RS from getting behind. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Humberto Rossi to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Jean Fernandez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adam Doykin. CE LAJEADENSE RS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jean Fernandez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. 55 minutes into the game, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Caetano Saad nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benê de Mendonça made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. 58 minutes into the game, Jean Fernandez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Adam Doykin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jean Fernandez might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adam Doykin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jean Fernandez ran back to his position shaking his head. Manoel Aguiar hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. 78 minutes into the match, C.A Gryffindor's Jean Fernandez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adam Doykin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 84 played minutes CE LAJEADENSE RS got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Ely. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Jean Fernandez managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A Gryffindor's supporters rose to their feet, but Jean Fernandez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adam Doykin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benê de Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caetano Saad, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. When the final whistle sounded C.A Gryffindor left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than CE LAJEADENSE RS.
