Fabian Raphael helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Luganeros AFC booed when Loco De Remate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabian Raphael didn't get a good kick on the ball. 23 minutes into the game, Luganeros AFC's Chen Peng Bin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Okanalp Öksal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 30 minutes into the match, Luganeros AFC's goalkeeper Gabriel Porfiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rene Aires. Okanalp Öksal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chen Peng Bin in the 36th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Rene Aires kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gabriel Porfiro. That made the score 1-1 in the 38 minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Luganeros AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Rene Aires came free, but Gabriel Porfiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Rene Aires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gabriel Porfiro made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Rene Aires sent off a good shot on target. Fabian Raphael made in the 46th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Luganeros AFC's Raphael da Silveira. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Luganeros AFC made a substitution. Artemio Argoitz replaced Gary Bale. Artemio Argoitz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Okanalp Öksal made a huge save. Gabriel Porfiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rene Aires, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luganeros AFC's Rey Ronaldo was substituted for Chen Peng Bin. Loco De Remate's Baškim Sumulikovski quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Raphael da Silveira, made in the 59th minute of the game.
