Cristopher de Alcântara might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Peter-Michael Schmeichel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristopher de Alcântara ran back to his position shaking his head. Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Maciej Wieck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Caniglia in the 40th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Claudio Caniglia notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Maciej Wieck. Maciej Wieck was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Maciej Wieck was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 55 minutes, Cristopher de Alcântara made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Janusze Futbolu's Peter-Michael Schmeichel tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 59th minute Claudio Caniglia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maciej Wieck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peter-Michael Schmeichel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristopher de Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Zawisza Bydgoszcz's zone, Claudio Caniglia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maciej Wieck came out of the goal and Claudio Caniglia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristopher de Alcântara got free with Peter-Michael Schmeichel in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Peter-Michael Schmeichel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristopher de Alcântara in the 79th minute of the match. Claudio Caniglia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maciej Wieck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Zawisza Bydgoszcz made a substitution. Răzvan Brădean replaced Cristopher de Alcântara. Janusze Futbolu's Çağdaş Quaresma managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Tomasz Adamus in the 88 minute of the game. 94 minutes into the match, Zawisza Bydgoszcz's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolás Tagliafico came free, but Maciej Wieck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
