Petros Vasdekis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toader Arotăriței, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. The supporters of Vakoufi Utd booed when Balavanis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marin Gavrilă didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Balavanis's goal looked a bit too open when Vassilis Lazarakis came free, but Petre Baicea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 13 played minutes Balavanis got a freekick which was hit by Doru Băcioiu. Balavanis's Petre Baicea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vassilis Lazarakis in the 17th minute of play. Vassilis Lazarakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petre Baicea having to interfere. Zinon Papadakos was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 28 minutes into the match. After 28 played minutes Vakoufi Utd got a freekick which was hit by Zinon Papadakos. A hard shot by Marin Gavrilă from long distance, 29 minutes into the match, got Petros Vasdekis's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The supporters of Vakoufi Utd booed when Balavanis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciprian Pavel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stefanos Mavromichalis struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Petre Baicea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vakoufi Utd. Vakoufi Utd's Stamatis Saltamaras got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Akis Nafpliotis kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Vakoufi Utd's Nektarios Korakakis got a free kick in the 47th minute.

The wind increased when Stamatis Saltamaras made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horaţiu Vermeşan in the 52nd minute of play forced Vakoufi Utd's goalkeeper Petros Vasdekis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 53rd minute, but Petre Baicea got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Balavanis hanging dry this time. Vakoufi Utd's Petros Vasdekis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gigi Văcăroiu in the 58th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Vakoufi Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Marin Gavrilă came free, but Petros Vasdekis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Stamatis Saltamaras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Balavanis's zone, Stefanos Mavromichalis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petre Baicea came out of the goal and Stefanos Mavromichalis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 71st minute, Doru Băcioiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Toader Arotăriței scored 1-0 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Petros Vasdekis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Petros Vasdekis came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Balavanis's Gigi Văcăroiu. But to his dismay, Gigi Văcăroiu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Petros Vasdekis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marin Gavrilă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Horaţiu Vermeşan hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ciprian Pavel during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 88th minute, Ciprian Pavel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Petre Baicea was a little too slow when Stefanos Mavromichalis got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 95th minute. The score was now 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Balavanis had won after a very even match.
