Hannes Saenger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Adriano Bollhalder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 乔天钢 having to interfere. FC Wil 1900's Karim Gerber was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 15th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Cliff Tschupp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. 乔天钢 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 29 minutes, 乔天钢 successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. FC Wil 1900's Hannes Saenger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 崔益笑 in the 30th minute of play. In the 32nd minute, 乔飞城 had to leave the field with a concussion. Karim Gerber's late challenge caught a 红日代表队's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Karim Gerber helped the player get up and apologised. 红日代表队's 蔡枫响 was substituted for 乔飞城. After 33 played minutes FC Wil 1900 got a freekick which was hit by Karim Gerber. In the 34th minute of the match 康超超 sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hannes Saenger skillfully saved the ball. 沈松洋 hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 沈松洋 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. FC Wil 1900's Donato Blaser was substituted for Tran Brünisholz. 红日代表队 were awarded a corner in the 61th minute after FC Wil 1900's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. 叶真威 took the corner. 叶真威 made a great header on 红日代表队's corner, it was just that FC Wil 1900's Hannes Saenger managed to reach the ball for a save. After a rather tough play, 红日代表队's 康超超 got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 65th minute of the match Donato Blaser sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but 乔天钢 skillfully saved the ball. After 74 played minutes FC Wil 1900 got a freekick which was hit by Karim Gerber. Cliff Tschupp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 乔天钢 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karim Gerber in the 77th minute of play. 乔天钢 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karim Gerber in the 83rd minute of the match. 94 minutes into the match, FC Wil 1900's goal looked a bit too open when 崔益笑 came free, but Hannes Saenger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joshua Anderhub kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the 红日代表队 players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC Wil 1900.
