Amadeo Rapinett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Václav Machálek in the 16th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Andrea Xuereb made a precise shot to the right of Josef Matocha. Golden Tigers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Josh Triganza's late challenge caught a Golden Tigers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Josh Triganza helped the player get up and apologised. In the 22nd minute, Josh Triganza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andrea Xuereb had several of the Golden Tigers's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 27 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Josef Matocha as he didn't even see the shot coming. During the 29th minute of the match Josh Triganza completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Josh Triganza a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 30th minute, Josh Triganza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Attard Gunners getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Josh Triganza hit a great ball. Amadeo Rapinett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Václav Machálek in the 35th minute of play. Rafael Panuška fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeo Rapinett having to interfere. After 42 minutes, Karel Jun mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Golden Tigers and the Attard Gunners players grew even worse after the yellow card. Karel Jun kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Josef Matocha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lawrence De Marco, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

After 59 played minutes Golden Tigers got a freekick which was hit by Karel Jun. Rafael Panuška sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 75th minute Joshua Demanuele shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josef Matocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 82 minutes into the game, Lawrence De Marco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Josef Matocha was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Karel Jun was shown his second yellow card after 89 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match.
