In the 15th minute Silvestre Quinton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Gasteiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Grullork FC's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin De Mitri came free, but Fabio Gasteiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Grullork FC's goal looked a bit too open when Silvestre Quinton came free, but Fabio Gasteiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nippur de Lagash 2's Jonathan De Mitri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Nippur de Lagash 2 from getting a goal against them. If Silvestre Quinton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th minute, Benjamin De Mitri left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nippur de Lagash 2 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benjamin De Mitri in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabio Gasteiz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Benjamin De Mitri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Benjamin De Mitri was the one to do the kick off. Benjamin De Mitris short, quick shot in the 51stth minute got Fabio Gasteiz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 52nd minute Nippur de Lagash 2 were awarded a corner. Silvestre Quinton went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Grullork FC's goalie and right to Cleto Madeo. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Grullork FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After a rather tough play, Grullork FC's Luisito Elivareo got a free kick in the 53rd minute. After 55 played minutes Grullork FC got a freekick which was hit by Fidel Peruxu. With his leg Fabio Gasteiz managed to avoid a goal in the 60thth minute, when Nippur de Lagash 2's Benjamin De Mitri fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 64 minutes into the game, Benjamin De Mitri cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Fabio Gasteiz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 76 minutes into the match, Benjamin De Mitri had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabio Gasteiz. Grullork FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benjamin De Mitri was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Fabio Gasteiz made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Silvestre Quinton sent off a good shot on target. 84 minutes into the game, Amancio Pirro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Grullork FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nippur de Lagash 2 the free kick. The supporters of Nippur de Lagash 2 booed when Grullork FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amancio Pirro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lorenzo Bertran's late challenge caught a Grullork FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lorenzo Bertran helped the player get up and apologised. In the 91st minute, Lorenzo Bertran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Lorenzo Bertran took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Fabio Gasteiz to make any attempt to save it. Nippur de Lagash 2's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
