After a rather tough play, Coritiba City's Vinícius Abraão got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Through an outstanding action, after 4 minutes, Kauan Cruz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The audience was convinced that Ernesto Valle's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Albérico Carrasqueira was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. In the 11th minute, Cláudio Linhares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 12 minutes into the match, Ernesto Valle notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of mar-azul's Albérico Carrasqueira. Albérico Carrasqueira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Coritiba City's Kauan Cruz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Coritiba City from getting a goal against them. When Coritiba City's Ernesto Valle in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye mar-azul's goalie prevented a goal. In the 22nd minute, Amado lacerda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 29 played minutes mar-azul got a freekick which was hit by Laurentino Pestana. Albérico Carrasqueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nestor de Amorim, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Yuri Nóbrega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. mar-azul's Albérico Carrasqueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Pedro Munhoz in the 39th minute of play. When Cláudio Linhares fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored mar-azul's protests and gave Cláudio Linhares a yellow card for diving instead. Jorge Serpa hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Albérico Carrasqueira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ernesto Valle's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Jorge Serpa kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. After 68 minutes, Laurentino Pestana mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the mar-azul and the Coritiba City players grew even worse after the yellow card. Laurentino Pestana hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Albérico Carrasqueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Pedro Munhoz in the 69th minute of play. In the 74th minute Coritiba City were awarded a corner. Nestor de Amorim went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Coritiba City's corner Nestor de Amorim fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Albérico Carrasqueira quite easily take care of the ball. Coritiba City's José Pedro Munhoz got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kauan Cruz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cláudio Linhares in the 82nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Coritiba City defense, Miguel Brites kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kauan Cruz. The Coritiba City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kauan Cruz should have stopped the shot. In the 86th minute Cláudio Linhares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kauan Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kauan Cruz came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by mar-azul's Miguel Brites. But to his dismay, Miguel Brites quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 91st match minute, Coritiba City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudinei Pinho to maneuver through the defense. Claudinei Pinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albérico Carrasqueira having to interfere. mar-azul walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
