In the 4th minute of the match SORRISO E. C. got a corner. Skollholmen FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. David Rossi ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Válter Ceresso managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ture Nyberg in the 9th minute of play forced SORRISO E. C.'s goalkeeper Christiano Arce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christiano Arce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ture Nyberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute Ture Nyberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christiano Arce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christiano Arce made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Lukas Johnsson sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Diguinho Gaúcho managed to get in a good position for a shot. SORRISO E. C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Diguinho Gaúcho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Måns Sigfridsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Christiano Arce didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lukas Johnsson went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Måns Sigfridsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diguinho Gaúcho in the 28th minute of play. Diguinho Gaúcho scored 1-1 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Måns Sigfridsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 33rd minute, Diguinho Gaúcho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 35 minutes of play, SORRISO E. C.'s Cléber da Costa made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Måns Sigfridsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Diguinho Gaúcho in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Måns Sigfridsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Diguinho Gaúcho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Måns Sigfridsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diguinho Gaúcho in the 43rd minute of play. After having played for 46 minutes, Diguinho Gaúcho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SORRISO E. C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Diguinho Gaúcho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half SORRISO E. C. were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Diguinho Gaúcho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. SORRISO E. C.'s Natã Paraense shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 53rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Måns Sigfridsson but with some difficulty. Måns Sigfridsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diguinho Gaúcho's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. After 58 played minutes SORRISO E. C. got a freekick which was hit by Cléber da Costa. 59 minutes into the game, Diguinho Gaúcho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SORRISO E. C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Skollholmen FC the free kick. A collision led to SORRISO E. C. getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Diguinho Gaúcho hit a great ball. With 61 minutes on the clock, Gilson Salles commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 62nd minute Jörgen Biörkquist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christiano Arce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of SORRISO E. C. booed when Skollholmen FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inge Hake didn't get a good kick on the ball. 68 minutes into the game, Diguinho Gaúcho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Måns Sigfridsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Skollholmen FC booed when SORRISO E. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cléber da Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erland Alebom hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. When Natã Paraense fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SORRISO E. C.'s protests and gave Natã Paraense a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, SORRISO E. C.'s Natã Paraense got a free kick in the 79th minute. Diguinho Gaúcho got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 1-4 in the right cross in the 81st match minute before Måns Sigfridsson had time to react. In the 87th minute of the match David Rossi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Måns Sigfridsson skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Skollholmen FC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Ture Nyberg hit a great ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. SORRISO E. C. had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
