In the 37th minute, one of 1910 Di Blåe:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for 1910 Di Blåe. The supporters of Várzea F.C. booed when 1910 Di Blåe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomas Odman didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Joaquim Marques could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Torbjörn Helander made a huge save. Murilo Peixoto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the final whistle sounded Várzea F.C. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than 1910 Di Blåe.
