After 10 minutes of play, sc de Jong's Jaap Themmen made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zvonimir Saševski was left in no man's land by his defense there! 程振明 struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Mathieu Roetering didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Jaap Themmen put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Zvonimir Saševski. 44 minutes into the game, Jaap Themmen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Zvonimir Saševski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Zvonimir Saševski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elmar Dam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Blerim Temelkovski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, NK BOROVO's Zvonimir Saševski got control of the ball when Jaap Themmen tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 53rd minute, Izaak de Boer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elmar Dam's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zvonimir Saševski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. The supporters of sc de Jong booed when NK BOROVO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabio Ayala didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zvonimir Saševski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elmar Dam in the 56th minute of the match. Zvonimir Saševski made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Jaap Themmen sent off a good shot on target. Jaap Themmen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Zvonimir Saševski made a huge save. Jaap Themmen's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 65thth minute, Zvonimir Saševski skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Jaap Themmen's late challenge caught a NK BOROVO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jaap Themmen helped the player get up and apologised. In the 95th minute, Jaap Themmen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. sc de Jong walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
