Patrick Heimann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giuseppe Kalleder in the 24th minute of the match. Dave Mahler hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Motor Altenburg's Dave Mahler got a free kick in the 34th minute. Giuseppe Kalleder hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. The VFR Stommeln players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Motor Altenburg were winning 0-1.

Patrick Heimann was out of position in the 52 minute of play, and Giuseppe Kalleder capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Giuseppe Kalleder really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. 64 minutes into the game, Reinhard Hörbelt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Motor Altenburg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave VFR Stommeln the free kick. In the 64th match minute, Motor Altenburg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reinhard Hörbelt to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of VFR Stommeln booed when Motor Altenburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dave Mahler didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82ndth minute of the game Phil Hausen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Motor Altenburg's Michael Metzler was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 86 minutes into the game, Giuseppe Kalleder was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giuseppe Kalleder in the 96th minute of play forced VFR Stommeln's goalkeeper Patrick Heimann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Although VFR Stommeln had been in control for most of the match, Motor Altenburg still came away with the win.
