Giorgos Kazatzidis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 10 minutes of play, Cosa nostra Lyon's Sidney Joannes made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Giorgos Kazatzidis was left in no man's land by his defense there! 17 minutes into the match, Sidney Joannes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Giorgos Kazatzidis. Toutourouki f.c.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sidney Joannes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in Cosa nostra Lyon's zone, Christos Tsirimonakis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Clem Fath came out of the goal and Christos Tsirimonakis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Petros Stelidis hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Tim Ménet struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Giorgos Kazatzidis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cosa nostra Lyon. In the 32ndth minute of the game Sidney Joannes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Toutourouki f.c.'s Giorgos Kazatzidis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cosa nostra Lyon were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Toutourouki f.c.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tim Ménet took the corner. Cosa nostra Lyon's Cyril Reynal quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Panos Zablakos, made in the 39th minute of the game. Sidney Joannes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giorgos Kazatzidis having to interfere. In the 46thth minute of the game Sidney Joannes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Toutourouki f.c.'s Giorgos Kazatzidis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sidney Joannes was the one to do the kick off. Clem Fath showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christos Tsirimonakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Cosa nostra Lyon's attentive Cyril Reynal managed to snatch the ball when Panos Zablakos made a throw-in in the 60th minute of the game. 65 minutes into the match, Cosa nostra Lyon's Sidney Joannes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Giorgos Kazatzidis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Toutourouki f.c.'s Giorgos Kazatzidis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Toutourouki f.c. from getting a goal against them. Sidney Joannes might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Giorgos Kazatzidis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sidney Joannes ran back to his position shaking his head. Cosa nostra Lyon made a substitution. Paul Raoult replaced Bacary Kerneis. Erwann Patrice recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Giorgos Kazatzidis stood somewhat misplaced when Erwann Patrice came free in front of goal and shot 0-7 to the left of him in the 85 minute. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Paul Raoult put it in 0-8 from a short distance just to the right of Giorgos Kazatzidis. 92 minutes into the match, Toutourouki f.c.'s goalkeeper Giorgos Kazatzidis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erwann Patrice. 95 minutes into the game, Erwann Patrice cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-9. Giorgos Kazatzidis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Cosa nostra Lyon eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
