Vila Mascote FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joaquim Rezende was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. 44 minutes into the match, Vila Mascote FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ace Spade came free, but William Rosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

Nova Venécia-ES's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. William Rosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim Rezende in the 89th minute of play. After 92 played minutes Vila Mascote FC got a freekick which was hit by João Adolfo Moreno. Nova Venécia-ES's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
