The audience thought a goal was coming when Max Bergvall got free with Stig Ahlerot in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Börna Bulldogs's Sonny Drake got a free kick in the 5th minute. Börna Bulldogs's Max Bergvall got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alex Pihl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torbjörn Bohlin in the 14th minute of play. A collision led to Börna Bulldogs getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Sonny Drake hit a great ball. In the 17th minute Roland Holmstedt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Pihl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, IFK Söderköping's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Siöman came free, but Stig Ahlerot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Karl-Johan Örtlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stig Ahlerot yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Torbjörn Bohlin made a kick off. A collision led to Börna Bulldogs getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Sonny Drake hit a great ball. Stig Ahlerot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonardo Siöman in the 56th minute of play. A collision led to IFK Söderköping getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Sven-Ove Käller hit a great ball. Aron Göransson lost his temper 61 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Aron Göransson hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. The Börna Bulldogs fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0.
