The UFC Veseud fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Nurettin Ula managed to get in a good position for a shot. UFC Veseud's supporters rose to their feet, but Nurettin Ula was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matei Varga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Andrei Chiose came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the UFC Veseud fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrei Chiose couldn't finish the play. Matei Varga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sabin Ghionescu in the 16th minute of play. Matei Varga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuel Hall, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Sergiu Cârju fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matei Varga having to interfere. Alin Cucerdean's late challenge caught a Dragoslaveni's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alin Cucerdean helped the player get up and apologised. In the 45th match minute, UFC Veseud was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alin Cucerdean to maneuver through the defense. 47 minutes into the match, Dragoslaveni's goal looked a bit too open when Alin Cucerdean came free, but Matei Varga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Răzvan Horhoianu hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute of the match, Cornel Neghină tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Matei Varga saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cornel Neghină in the 65th minute of play forced Dragoslaveni's goalkeeper Matei Varga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matei Varga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nurettin Ula, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Dragoslaveni's Matei Varga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Dragoslaveni from getting a goal against them.
