Naldo Cabral started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the game, Tony Abraão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BOA VISTA E.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave União Barbarense the free kick. Tony Abraão kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. União Barbarense's Osmar Braga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save União Barbarense from getting a goal against them. In the 11th match minute, União Barbarense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benê Lara to maneuver through the defense. Zé Faria didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Orlando Salles went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Eriberto Corrêa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Zé Faria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, BOA VISTA E.C.'s Victor Gomes got a free kick in the 25th minute. When Charles do Vale fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored União Barbarense's protests and gave Charles do Vale a yellow card for diving instead. Naldo Cabral's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 31stth minute, Osmar Braga skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A collision led to União Barbarense getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Benê Lara hit a great ball. Flávio Félix kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Naldo Cabral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 42nd minute, Guto Neto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With his leg Osmar Braga managed to avoid a goal in the 44thth minute, when BOA VISTA E.C.'s Naldo Cabral fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 45th match minute, União Barbarense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chiquinho Mandrak to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th minute, BOA VISTA E.C.'s Guto Neto dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Orlando Salles was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Guto Neto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Geovani das Neves came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the BOA VISTA E.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geovani das Neves couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, BOA VISTA E.C.'s Naldo Cabral got a free kick in the 61st minute. Guto Neto scored 3-1 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Osmar Braga, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 73rd match minute, União Barbarense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Tinoco to maneuver through the defense. Osmar Braga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Naldo Cabral, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 81st minute, Guto Neto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Naldo Cabral blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Osmar Braga having to make a save. Flávio Félix kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. BOA VISTA E.C.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
