Aaron Jokin was slow to take the kick. During this time Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's Aaron Jokin to fire away a dangerous shot which Emanuel Laurin despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 6th match minute, Magic is Back was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudio Marangoni to maneuver through the defense. After 8 minutes of play, Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's Bengt-Arne Åberg made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emanuel Laurin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's Generoso Gonzalez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka from getting a goal against them. After 14 played minutes Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka got a freekick which was hit by Karel Kacharov. When Bengt-Arne Åberg came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bengt-Arne Åberg couldn't finish the play. Bengt-Arne Åberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th minute, Bengt-Arne Åberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Emanuel Laurin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bengt-Arne Åberg in the 27th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the game, Bengt-Arne Åberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Emanuel Laurin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 34 minutes into the game, Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's Bengt-Arne Åberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emanuel Laurin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. After a rather tough play, Magic is Back's Rodolfo Arruabarrena got a free kick in the 39th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bengt-Arne Åberg in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emanuel Laurin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 44 minutes, Bengt-Arne Åberg made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Magic is Back's Emanuel Laurin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cayetano Darien was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka booed when Magic is Back was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeremias Bide didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 53rd minute, Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's Pedro Ochoa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. Generoso Gonzalez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodosio Frans, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Argina in the 59th minute of play forced Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's goalkeeper Generoso Gonzalez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ramón Ponce charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's Leon Trotskiy was substituted for Iker Eneko. A collision led to Magic is Back getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Rodolfo Arruabarrena hit a great ball. Wilfredo Bieito took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 70th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Emanuel Laurin. Magic is Back's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Magic is Back's Cayetano Darien got a free kick in the 71st minute. 75 minutes into the game, Gustavo-Hernán Egoi lined in a short shot 0-7 behind a frustrated Emanuel Laurin. Emanuel Laurin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ke Xun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ke Xun received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Emanuel Laurin came out and tried to block the shot, but Ke Xun slotted it home off the left post making it 0-8 in the 80th minute. Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's Gustavo-Hernán Egoi got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emanuel Laurin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gustavo-Hernán Egoi's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Gustavo-Hernán Egois short, quick shot in the 89thth minute got Emanuel Laurin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Magic is Back booed when Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ke Xun didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka played a much better game than Magic is Back and deserved their victory. The Magic is Back players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
