A collision led to Houston Fire F.C. getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Charles Fuller hit a great ball. In the 12th minute Guilherme Olivieri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bart Villanueva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bart Villanueva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 曾诚枫 in the 16th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, El Canalla de Chicago's goal looked a bit too open when Lawrence Esquivel came free, but Bart Villanueva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Houston Fire F.C. booed when El Canalla de Chicago was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rudolf Pendleton didn't get a good kick on the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Houston Fire F.C.'s 曾诚枫 sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bart Villanueva narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 曾诚枫 in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bart Villanueva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 25th minute of the match Houston Fire F.C. got a corner. El Canalla de Chicago's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Blake Rice ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 27 played minutes El Canalla de Chicago got a freekick which was hit by Rudolf Pendleton. In the 32nd minute, El Canalla de Chicago's Rudolf Pendleton ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aquilino Rameriz. Aquilino Rameriz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Bart Villanueva stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lawrence Esquivel's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 曾诚枫 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Houston Fire F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Lawrence Esquivel. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Rudolf Pendleton put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Aquilino Rameriz. 58 minutes into the game, Houston Fire F.C.'s 曾诚枫 nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bart Villanueva made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. El Canalla de Chicago's Emmanuel Akers was substituted for Lazaro Ragsdale. El Canalla de Chicago's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guilherme Olivieri was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. When Rodger Mejia fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Canalla de Chicago's protests and gave Rodger Mejia a yellow card for diving instead. In the 75th minute, Rodger Mejia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Blake Rice struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Bart Villanueva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Houston Fire F.C.. After a rather tough play, Houston Fire F.C.'s Marcellus Rodgers got a free kick in the 85th minute. Tanner Booker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquilino Rameriz having to interfere. After having played for 93 minutes, Rudolf Pendleton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Canalla de Chicago's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rudolf Pendleton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aquilino Rameriz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rudolf Pendleton in the 95th minute of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
