Jacob Faulkner started the match with the kick off. Zacarias Nazario showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacob Faulkner in the 10th minute of the match. Despite this Joey Clemons quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Illinois Bluewaters's Joey Clemons played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Efrain Vilardell in the 27th minute of play. The nice shot from Elliott Zuniga in the 33rdth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Zacarias Nazario had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Efrain Vilardell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Atletico Maturrango booed when Illinois Bluewaters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacob Faulkner didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Efrain Vilardell in the 38th minute of play forced Illinois Bluewaters's goalkeeper Joey Clemons to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th match minute, Illinois Bluewaters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacob Faulkner to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Efrain Vilardell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joey Clemons was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Efrain Vilardell in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joey Clemons prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joey Clemons showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Efrain Vilardell, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the last second Joey Clemons throw himself and got hold of the ball when Efrain Vilardell in the 55thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Rudy Bates made in the 57th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Atletico Maturrango's Fidencio Santandres. When Atletico Maturrango's Efrain Vilardell in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Illinois Bluewaters's goalie prevented a goal. 62 minutes had been played when some careless play by Illinois Bluewaters's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fidencio Santandres was slow to take the kick. During this time Atletico Maturrango's players had a chance to rest. Fidencio Santandres made a great header on Atletico Maturrango's corner, it was just that Illinois Bluewaters's Joey Clemons managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 66th minute of the match, Orlin Hinojosa got a very nice opportunity to score, but Joey Clemons was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Joey Clemons tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Atletico Maturrango booed when Illinois Bluewaters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elliott Zuniga didn't get a good kick on the ball. 93 minutes had been played when some careless play by Illinois Bluewaters's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. The corner led Atletico Maturrango's Fidencio Santandres to fire away a dangerous shot which Joey Clemons despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Fidencio Santandres's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Joey Clemons - 0-1 was put on the score board in the 93rd minute. The Illinois Bluewaters fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Atletico Maturrango were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
