The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Egun Galan to strike the kick off in the second half. Cisco Rubial made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christiano Ronaldo in the 56th minute of play. Cisco Rubial tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Jacindo Rotaetamorga fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MILLONARIOS FC's protests and gave Jacindo Rotaetamorga a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, MILLONARIOS FC's Jacindo Rotaetamorga got a free kick in the 88th minute. Archibaldo Ahumada might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sancho Orcondona. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
