Sven Askberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mats Skoog in the 5th minute of play. The supporters of Asarum booed when Garsås IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gunnar Asmundsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Charles Vennerdal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Garsås IF getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Jerry Danielsson hit a great ball. Olov Lind kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Charles Vennerdal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kurt Vallengren having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Fabian Hård hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sven Askberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olov Lind in the 23rd minute of play. In the 39th minute of the game Alvin Arenius made a throw-in which Mats Skoog played forward. Jerry Danielsson charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jerry Danielsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 40th match minute, Garsås IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jerry Danielsson to maneuver through the defense. Gunnar Asmundsson charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gunnar Asmundsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Garsås IF getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Gunnar Asmundsson hit a great ball. In the 48th minute, Olov Lind got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mats Skoog stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Olov Lind sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jerry Danielsson kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. 64 minutes into the match, Asarum's Olov Lind sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sven Askberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 66th minute, Gösta Vennerberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Charles Vennerdal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Garsås IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Charles Vennerdal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kurt Vallengren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ted Holmgren's late challenge caught a Garsås IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ted Holmgren helped the player get up and apologised. In the 71st minute, Ted Holmgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Asarum's Olov Lind got a free kick in the 74th minute. 80 minutes into the match, Asarum's goal looked a bit too open when Charles Vennerdal came free, but Kurt Vallengren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aaron Lindsten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aaron Lindsten blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sven Askberg having to make a save. Kurt Vallengren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charles Vennerdal, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Charles Vennerdal in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kurt Vallengren prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
