The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bartosz Kaczanka charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bartosz Kaczanka the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Emalia Olkusz's Bartosz Kaczanka got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Emalia Olkusz's Adam Wyrostek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maciej Harbaszewski in the 4th minute of play. Emalia Olkusz's Adam Wyrostek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Emalia Olkusz from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as F.C. Sosnowiec's Maciej Harbaszewski slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Adam Wyrostek. That made the score 1-0 after 7 minutes of play. After 10 played minutes F.C. Sosnowiec got a freekick which was hit by Iwan Adamczak. After 11 minutes of play, Emalia Olkusz's Aleksander Orlicki made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jan Pazura was left in no man's land by his defense there! Maciej Harbaszewski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Adam Wyrostek made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Emalia Olkusz's Bartosz Kaczanka got a free kick in the 29th minute. Damian Bator received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Jan Pazura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aleksander Orlicki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Pazura having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maciej Harbaszewski was the one to do the kick off. Norbert Borowski scored 2-1 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Adam Wyrostek, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 62nd minute, Lech Naskrent hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With 64 minutes on the clock, Roman Wodaszak commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After a rather tough play, F.C. Sosnowiec's Roman Wodaszak got a free kick in the 64th minute. Jedrzej Bendyk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jan Pazura read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norbert Borowski in the 87th minute of play forced Emalia Olkusz's goalkeeper Adam Wyrostek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adam Wyrostek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Blicharz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. F.C. Sosnowiec were victorious despite being under pressure from Emalia Olkusz for much of the match.
