The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Belmiro Meira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laerte Fernandes in the 5th minute of play forced Ibirama Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Conrado Linares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 7 minutes into the game, Laerte Fernandes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Conrado Linares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laerte Fernandes in the 15th minute of play forced Ibirama Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Conrado Linares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Classe A Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Patrick Cunha hit a great ball. After 22 played minutes Classe A Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Jorginho Félix. When Luís Eduardo Amorim fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ibirama Futebol Clube's protests and gave Luís Eduardo Amorim a yellow card for diving instead. Ibirama Futebol Clube's Conrado Linares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorginho Félix in the 26th minute of play. If Laerte Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 35 played minutes Ibirama Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Laerte Arruda. In the 36th minute, Jorginho Félix got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Conrado Linares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Murillo Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Conrado Linares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Belmiro Meira in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 46th minute Laerte Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conrado Linares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Laerte Fernandes made a kick off. Conrado Linares made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Belmiro Meira sent off a good shot on target. After 62 played minutes Ibirama Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Dedé Dante. 63 minutes into the match, Ibirama Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Conrado Linares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Belmiro Meira. Wiliam Favoretto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitório Amaral in the 69th minute of play. Conrado Linares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laerte Fernandes in the 72nd minute of the match. The Classe A Futebol Clube fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when Classe A Futebol Clube's Gernando Pitta looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 80 minutes, Belmiro Meira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Classe A Futebol Clube and the Ibirama Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Ibirama Futebol Clube booed when Classe A Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Belmiro Meira didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gernando Pitta got free with Conrado Linares in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Classe A Futebol Clube fans' excitement grew in the 95th match minute when Classe A Futebol Clube's Laerte Fernandes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The Ibirama Futebol Clube fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Classe A Futebol Clube were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
