The audience thought a goal was coming when Xever Castiñeira got free with Jordi Rubin in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Xever Castiñeira made a kick off. Cerilo Ajorbe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jordi Rubin having to interfere. The UD Maracaibo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. When the referee ended the match the UD Maracaibo players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
