Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Pueblo Rubi took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Matapalito's goalkeeper Tulio Armendarez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jairo Caras struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Taurino Agustino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Matapalito. Algarrabo's Taurino Agustino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Caras in the 9th minute of play. Cebo Millares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Etxepare Bolado took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tulio Armendarez. Tulio Armendarez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Tulio Armendarez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pueblo Rubi in the 18th minute of play. Taurino Agustino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jairo Caras in the 20th minute of play. 21 minutes into the game, Matapalito's Jairo Caras nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Taurino Agustino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Taurino Agustino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jairo Caras went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jairo Caras in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Taurino Agustino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tulio Armendarez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pueblo Rubi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Algarrabo booed when Matapalito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tuste Afonso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Matapalito's Tulio Armendarez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gergori Aya in the 32nd minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Cebo Millares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 34 minutes into the match, Rik Valiño notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Algarrabo's Taurino Agustino. Taurino Agustino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 36th minute, Jairo Caras made a precise shot to the right of Taurino Agustino. Algarrabo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. When the match clock showed 44 minutes, the score became 1-5 when Jairo Caras sped through Algarrabo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Taurino Agustino. After the first half Matapalito were leading 1-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After 52 minutes Algarrabo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rik Valiño who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Matapalito's Otsando Marti getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Cebo Millares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Taurino Agustino having to interfere. A collision led to Matapalito getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Tuste Afonso hit a great ball. After 59 played minutes, Algarrabo's Birila Moneda shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tulio Armendarez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Algarrabo reached it. Tulio Armendarez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Quentin Rabanera in the 65th minute of the match. Tulio Armendarez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Etxepare Bolado, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Matapalito's Jairo Caras got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 74 minutes, Rik Valiño managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Matapalito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rik Valiño was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Algarrabo's Gergori Aya got a free kick in the 77th minute. Nicodemo Sierralta's late challenge caught a Algarrabo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicodemo Sierralta helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Algarrabo booed when Matapalito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tulio Armendarez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Etxepare Bolado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matapalito's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
