In the 8th match minute, Aizawl Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dana McGrath to maneuver through the defense. Dirk Kincaid charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dirk Kincaid the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dirk Kincaid hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Aizawl Football Club's Bart Smalls played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blake Hufnagel in the 14th minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, Luke Randle was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aizawl Football Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mims AFC the free kick. In the 15th minute, Luke Randle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aizawl Football Club's Roberto Casey got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 19th play minutes Eusebio Davila shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Moses Stovall and just under the crossbar into goal. Bart Smalls stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claudio Weiss's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Blake Hufnagel hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. In the 28th minute, Blake Hufnagel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Blake Hufnagel kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Eusebio Davila put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Moses Stovall. In the 36th minute, Eusebio Davila ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Moses Stovall was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Rodolfo Escobar's late challenge caught a Mims AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rodolfo Escobar helped the player get up and apologised. Rodolfo Escobar kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After having played for 40 minutes, Blake Hufnagel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mims AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Blake Hufnagel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Claudio Weiss struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Bart Smalls didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mims AFC.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Blake Hufnagel made a kick off. After 54 played minutes Mims AFC got a freekick which was hit by Kurt Escobedo. Moses Stovall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusebio Davila, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. 65 minutes into the match, Claudio Weiss notched a goal, 5-2, to the right of Aizawl Football Club's Bart Smalls. Bart Smalls was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Roberto Casey put it in 7-2 from a short distance just to the right of Moses Stovall. After 76 minutes, Eusebio Davila made it 8-2 with a short kick to the right side. Mims AFC's Moses Stovall tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Blake Hufnagel charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Blake Hufnagel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some careless play in the Mims AFC defense, Eusebio Davila kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Moses Stovall. The Mims AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Moses Stovall should have stopped the shot. Eusebio Davila scored 10-2 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Moses Stovall, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With his leg Bart Smalls managed to avoid a goal in the 95thth minute, when Mims AFC's Claudio Weiss fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Aizawl Football Club's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
