Spectators: 7337 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1737, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Winston Wade started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Winston Wade dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of David Cronin, 1-0. With a little luck, Valdosta FC's David Cronin got control of the ball when Winston Wade tried to sneak it across the goal line. Royse City's Winston Wade got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 13 minutes into the game, Valdosta FC's Junior Nieves nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alfonzo Nava made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Alfonzo Nava showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Junior Nieves in the 16th minute of the match. After having played for 18 minutes, Tad Westbrook managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valdosta FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tad Westbrook was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 21 minutes into the match, Sol Stover had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alfonzo Nava. Royse City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sol Stover was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Valdosta FC's Larry Benjamin got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 32 minutes into the game, Junior Nieves cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Alfonzo Nava was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alfonzo Nava showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sol Stover, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. A collision led to Valdosta FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Sol Stover hit a great ball. The supporters of Valdosta FC booed when Royse City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Woodrow Lefler didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Junior Nieves in the 46th minute of play forced Royse City's goalkeeper Alfonzo Nava to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfonzo Nava showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Larry Benjamin in the 47th minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tad Westbrook to strike the kick off in the second half. Alfonzo Nava made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tad Westbrook in the 53rd minute of play. Royse City's Alfonzo Nava proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Royse City from getting a goal against them. If Winston Wade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ruben Fox blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without David Cronin having to make a save. Winston Wade recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Valdosta FC's Luis Hagen got a free kick in the 59th minute. If Winston Wade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute, Simon McCain got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. David Cronin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Winston Wade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 69 minutes into the match, Royse City's goalkeeper Alfonzo Nava had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Larry Benjamin. Alfonzo Nava showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sol Stover in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 77th minute, Junior Nieves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfonzo Nava was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. After 84 played minutes Valdosta FC got a freekick which was hit by Junior Nieves. Through an outstanding action, after 87 minutes, Alfonzo Nava successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Reinaldo Gaines hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Dirk Price shot from long distance in the 89th minute, but Alfonzo Nava was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Alfonzo Nava made an important save on a dangerous shot by Junior Nieves in the 95th minute. Valdosta FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
