Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) In the 5th minute, Antonio Hadley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 6 minutes in the game William Hammer got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Clint Blount during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Kerry Dickey came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the St. James FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kerry Dickey couldn't finish the play. 16 minutes into the game, Kerry Dickey was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. St. James FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Flagstaff the free kick. Flagstaff made a substitution. Claudio Levy replaced Denver Jewell. In the 18th match minute, St. James FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kerry Dickey to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute Kerry Dickey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dana Duncan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Wallace Wooten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antonio Hadley charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Antonio Hadley the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Flagstaff booed when St. James FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Hadley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Flagstaff's Don Wallace couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 31st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for St. James FC. When Hayden Steward came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Flagstaff fans jumped to their feet. Pete Costello stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Deshawn Bravo's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Flagstaff's William Hammer shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 39th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Pete Costello but with some difficulty. 41 minutes into the game, Hayden Steward was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 44th match minute, St. James FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardo Huang to maneuver through the defense. Wallace Wooten hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute Clint Blount shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dana Duncan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kerry Dickey made a kick off. In the 55th minute Wallace Wooten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pete Costello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 55 played minutes St. James FC got a freekick which was hit by Daryl Swanson. In the 59th minute, Hayden Steward left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Flagstaff fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After 62 played minutes Flagstaff got a freekick which was hit by Deshawn Bravo. 65 minutes into the match, St. James FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hayden Steward came free, but Pete Costello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 66 minutes, Wallace Wooten managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Flagstaff's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wallace Wooten was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Flagstaff's Hayden Steward got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. St. James FC's Clint Blount got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Flagstaff's zone, Clint Blount stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dana Duncan came out of the goal and Clint Blount tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 75th match minute, Flagstaff was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ron Burroughs to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Flagstaff getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Claudio Levy hit a great ball. Clint Blount came free in the 77th minute and tried to tip the ball over Dana Duncan, but to the joy of Flagstaff's supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. Lanny Kelly's late challenge caught a St. James FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lanny Kelly helped the player get up and apologised. In the 82nd match minute, Flagstaff was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lanny Kelly to maneuver through the defense. 86 minutes into the game, Hayden Steward cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Pete Costello was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Hayden Steward's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pete Costello was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. St. James FC's Pete Costello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hayden Steward in the 95th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Flagstaff had played much better football throughout.
