Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Kerry Dickey made the kick off which started today's match. When Larry Benjamin fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Valdosta FC's protests and gave Larry Benjamin a yellow card for diving instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daryl Swanson got free with David Cronin in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Clint Blount sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daryl Swanson in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck David Cronin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. David Cronin was out of position in the 19 minute of play, and Clint Blount capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Clint Blount really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Sol Stover charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sol Stover the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 22 played minutes Valdosta FC got a freekick which was hit by Sol Stover. Daryl Swanson struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. David Cronin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for St. James FC. Clint Blount sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Valdosta FC's zone, Kerry Dickey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Cronin came out of the goal and Kerry Dickey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. David Cronin was a little too slow when Daryl Swanson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 2-1. Kerry Dickey blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without David Cronin having to make a save. During the 42nd minute of the match Sol Stover completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Sol Stover a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Sol Stover hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. David Cronin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clint Blount in the 44th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

In the 53rd match minute, St. James FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daryl Swanson to maneuver through the defense. Pete Costello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tad Westbrook in the 60th minute of play. Gerard Solomon hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute of the match, Larry Benjamin got a very nice opportunity to score, but Pete Costello was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 68 minutes of play, St. James FC's Clint Blount made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. David Cronin was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 81stth minute of the game Kerry Dickey who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Valdosta FC's David Cronin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Valdosta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daryl Swanson came free, but David Cronin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 86 played minutes Valdosta FC got a freekick which was hit by Junior Nieves. Junior Nievess short, quick shot in the 92ndth minute got Pete Costello to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Daryl Swanson scored 4-1 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of David Cronin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
