After a defensive mix-up in UD Azucar's zone, Jeremy Greene stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eusebio Eaton came out of the goal and Jeremy Greene tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. UD Azucar's Eusebio Eaton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abe Medina in the 11th minute of play. A collision led to Little Elm FC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Francesco Velasquez hit a great ball. Eusebio Eaton was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Abe Medina showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 16 minute of play. Abe Medina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusebio Eaton having to interfere. The supporters of UD Azucar booed when Little Elm FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Vermudo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th minute, Abe Medina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wiley Hanson hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After 36 played minutes Little Elm FC got a freekick which was hit by Francesco Velasquez. Alberto Vermudo hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abe Medina stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 62 minutes into the match, Little Elm FC's goalkeeper Rene Hanson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ward Dennison. Rene Hanson was a little too slow when Harvey Layton got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 66th minute. The score was now 1-1. In the 71st minute, Wiley Hanson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rene Hanson. The goal made the score 1-2. A collision led to UD Azucar getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Ward Dennison hit a great ball. Francesco Velasquez took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 74th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eusebio Eaton. UD Azucar's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Rene Hanson made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Wiley Hanson sent off a good shot on target. In the 89th minute, UD Azucar's Dean Leal dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. The UD Azucar supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing UD Azucar would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
