Spectators: 7585 (Terracing: 5767, Seating: 1768, VIP seats: 50) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Carson Nicholson kicked off to start the match. Odenton's Stanford Williams got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stanford Williams got free with Darron Mahoney in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Austin Hager sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Stanford Williams blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Darron Mahoney having to make a save. Dominique Nicholas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Carson Nicholson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dominique Nicholas in the 22nd minute of play forced Odenton's goalkeeper Jonathon Beam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Boyce Webster hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. After 24 played minutes, Captain America's Kermit Buckley shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jonathon Beam came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Captain America reached it. If Stanford Williams had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Darron Mahoney managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when Odenton's Stanford Williams fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Odenton's zone, Carson Nicholson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathon Beam came out of the goal and Carson Nicholson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Captain America were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after Odenton's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kermit Buckley took the corner. After taking down the ball on Captain America's corner Johnny Knight fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jonathon Beam quite easily take care of the ball. 43 minutes into the game, Austin Hager recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Darron Mahoney. Austin Hager showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Captain America's Darron Mahoney played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stanford Williams in the 61st minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, Captain America's goal looked a bit too open when Stanford Williams came free, but Darron Mahoney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Darron Mahoney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stanford Williams in the 64th minute of play. Austin Hager charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Austin Hager the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Odenton getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Austin Hager hit a great ball. Dominique Nicholas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 70thth minute tested the skills of Jonathon Beam when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Stanford Williams sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Boyce Dubose hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Stanford Williams fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darron Mahoney having to interfere. Odenton's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
