But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Boyd Nicholson couldn't finish the play. Francesco Fleming took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmed Gregg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ahmed Gregg in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Francesco Fleming prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Norbert Gore charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Norbert Gore the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 31 minutes into the match, Boyd Nicholson notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Londrina Country Club's Francesco Fleming. Francesco Fleming was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 40 played minutes Aztecs Premire got a freekick which was hit by Ahmed Gregg. Boyd Nicholson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francesco Fleming having to interfere. A collision led to Aztecs Premire getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Ahmed Gregg hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmed Gregg in the 47th minute of play forced Londrina Country Club's goalkeeper Francesco Fleming to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ahmed Gregg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ahmed Gregg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Francesco Fleming read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Ahmed Gregg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 81st minute Ahmed Gregg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francesco Fleming saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Londrina Country Club players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
