Spectators: 6775 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1775, VIP seats: 0) Sid Aldrich started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 3rd minute, Hunter Ricks hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valparaiso C.F.'s Bo Gallagher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sid Aldrich in the 4th minute of play. When Jerold Jarvis came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Valparaiso C.F. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jerold Jarvis couldn't finish the play. Eric Browne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luther Wolfe in the 7th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Jerold Jarvis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valparaiso C.F.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Jerold Jarvis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eric Browne breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Oscar Paris recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luther Wolfe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eric Browne having to make a save. In the 20th minute, Oscar Paris got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Newton Falls's zone, Luther Wolfe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eric Browne came out of the goal and Luther Wolfe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 25 minutes into the match, Valparaiso C.F.'s Luther Wolfe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eric Browne narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luther Wolfe in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eric Browne saved Newton Falls from getting behind. If Luther Wolfe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Newton Falls's Eric Browne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luther Wolfe in the 34th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luther Wolfe in the 41st minute of play forced Newton Falls's goalkeeper Eric Browne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luther Wolfe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luther Wolfe to make the kick off. Ramon Crane kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Karl Rowley missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 58 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Eric Browne right hand side. Bo Gallagher made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Oscar Paris sent off a good shot on target. In the 72nd minute, Luther Wolfe made a precise shot to the right of Eric Browne. Newton Falls's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 77th minute Sid Aldrich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bo Gallagher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felix Whitaker kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Jerold Jarvis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 88 minutes, Luther Wolfe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valparaiso C.F.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Luther Wolfe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 98 minutes into the match, Sid Aldrich dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bo Gallagher, 2-1.
