After a rather tough play, Borussia Dortmund's Woodrow Cardona got a free kick in the 4th minute. Rosario Harman took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 5th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Wes Boyles. Borussia Dortmund's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 7th minute, J.P. Snyder made a precise shot to the right of Wes Boyles. Borussia Dortmund's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers J.P. Snyder in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wes Boyles saved Borussia Dortmund from getting behind. Wes Boyles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from J.P. Snyder in the 21st minute of play. After having played for 22 minutes, Randall Paulson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Huntersville's supporters crossed their fingers, but Randall Paulson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. J.P. Snyder's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wes Boyles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Huntersville's goalkeeper Rocco Mahoney, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Wes Boyles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Randall Paulson, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 34 minutes into the match, Borussia Dortmund's goal looked a bit too open when Randall Paulson came free, but Wes Boyles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wes Boyles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernest McCall, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Randall Paulson scored 0-2 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wes Boyles, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. J.P. Snyder recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Randall Paulson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wes Boyles having to interfere.

After a rather tough play, Borussia Dortmund's Giuseppe Soto got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 54th minute, Rosario Harman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 63rd minute, Daryl Deering hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. J.P. Snyder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wes Boyles having to interfere. Randall Paulson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Randall Paulson in the 73rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Wes Boyles, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Cristobal Ivy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Borussia Dortmund's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristobal Ivy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rocco Mahoney breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 77th minute, Renato Quinones made a precise shot to the right of Rocco Mahoney. Huntersville's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Cristobal Ivy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Rocco Mahoney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, Huntersville's goal looked a bit too open when Renato Quinones came free, but Rocco Mahoney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Randall Paulson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. J.P. Snyder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
