The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Moorefield AFC's Robrecht Scheppers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dave Paris in the 5th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reinaldo McCormick in the 6th minute of play forced Moorefield AFC's goalkeeper Robrecht Scheppers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Waldo Helton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omar Powell in the 8th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Omar Powell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Waldo Helton was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Waldo Helton had great luck who in the 13thth minute grab hold of the ball when Omar Powell from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Charly Rusterholz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Waldo Helton made a huge save. In the 22nd minute Reinaldo McCormick shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robrecht Scheppers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd minute of the match Flame Throwers got a corner. Moorefield AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dave Paris ran over to the corner to take the kick. Omar Powell succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 28th playminute. When Dave Paris fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Flame Throwers's protests and gave Dave Paris a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Flame Throwers's Dave Paris got a free kick in the 30th minute. When Moorefield AFC's Omar Powell in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Waldo Helton came out of the goal and Oskar 舒 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Charly Rusterholz got free with Waldo Helton in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Scotty Dietz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robrecht Scheppers having to interfere. If Oskar 舒 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Flame Throwers getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Scotty Dietz hit a great ball. Omar Powell in the 47thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Waldo Helton, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Omar Powell to strike the kick off in the second half. Waldo Helton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oskar 舒 in the 53rd minute of play. Robrecht Scheppers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Scotty Dietz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Moorefield AFC made a substitution. Jerry Seinfeld replaced Charly Rusterholz. In the 59th minute, Darryl Arellano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 60 minutes into the match, Moorefield AFC's Oskar 舒 broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 64 minutes had been played when some careless play by Flame Throwers's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Oskar 舒 was slow to take the kick. During this time Moorefield AFC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Moorefield AFC's corner Florian Zawadzki fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Waldo Helton quite easily take care of the ball. After 65 played minutes Flame Throwers got a freekick which was hit by Brian Hyatt. After 66 minutes, Darryl Arellano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Flame Throwers and the Moorefield AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 66th match minute, Flame Throwers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darryl Arellano to maneuver through the defense. The Flame Throwers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Waldo Helton should have stopped the shot. Kemal Bakırhan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Waldo Helton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jerry Seinfeld received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute.
