Algorta's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After 12 minutes, Linus Berg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C. D. Lury and the Algorta players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 12th minute, Linus Berg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bieito Juarbe got free with Donattello Kiatcharoenchai in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to C. D. Lury getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Loiola Sayavedra hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luzea Badia in the 42nd minute of play forced Algorta's goalkeeper Donattello Kiatcharoenchai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Donattello Kiatcharoenchai made an important save on a dangerous shot by Basilio Dodorol in the 46th minute. Bieito Juarbe was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 47 minutes into the match.
