Gabriel Valverde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jerzy Kapera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dionisio Espejo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Tomás Monroy's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 7thth minute, Ernesto Ceccarelli skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Sotaqui FC's Pedro Tomás Monroy was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 7th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 20th minute, Dionisio Espejo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jerzy Kapera was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Jerzy Kapera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Miguel Otazo, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Pedro Tomás Monroy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Ernesto Ceccarelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Saúl Marzi scored 3-1 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ernesto Ceccarelli, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. CalmaDitto F.C were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after Sotaqui FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Próspero Menichetti took the corner. Jesus Puyol thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Jerzy Kapera, a very annoying self made goal in the 39th minute which led to 3-2. Dionisio Espejo hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-2.
In the 53rd minute, Gabriel Valverde left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CalmaDitto F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gabriel Valverde got free with Jerzy Kapera in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. CalmaDitto F.C's Gabriel Valverde got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ernesto Ceccarelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Tomás Monroy, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. If Carlos Saúl Marzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute Gabriel Valverde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerzy Kapera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 76 played minutes Sotaqui FC got a freekick which was hit by Jesus Puyol. Evaristo Fenieux was slow to take the kick. During this time Sotaqui FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Evaristo Fenieux almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but CalmaDitto F.C's Ernesto Ceccarelli did a great save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dionisio Espejo in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jerzy Kapera saved Sotaqui FC from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pedro Tomás Monroy in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ernesto Ceccarelli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pedro Tomás Monroy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Ceccarelli having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Juan Miguel Otazo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jerzy Kapera was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-4. When Sotaqui FC's Carlos Saúl Marzi in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CalmaDitto F.C's goalie prevented a goal. CalmaDitto F.C's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
