Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Juarês Nunes started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 8 minutes into the game, Rubens Seco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cepa SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ipanema EC the free kick. In the 9th minute of the match, Fábio França got a very nice opportunity to score, but Renan Quadros was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Fábio França could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Renan Quadros made a huge save. Renan Quadros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomás Faria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fábio França got in the 15th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Renan Quadros handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. In the 25th minute Tony Pombal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesinha Diniz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juarês Nunes in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cesinha Diniz saved Ipanema EC from getting behind. In the 28th minute Tony Pombal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesinha Diniz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juarês Nunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Cesinha Diniz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Renan Quadros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomás Faria in the 35th minute of the match. Cepa SS's Renan Quadros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomás Faria in the 37th minute of play. Tiago Gabriel Brasil hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Renan Quadros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomás Faria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fábio França's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Renan Quadros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Cepa SS's Renan Quadros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Cepa SS from getting a goal against them. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Thomás Faria to strike the kick off in the second half. Renan Quadros came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ipanema EC's Thomás Faria. But to his dismay, Thomás Faria quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Thomás Faria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Fábio França had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Ipanema EC booed when Cepa SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flávio Paulista didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ipanema EC's Thomás Faria got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 71stth minute of the game Thomás Faria who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cepa SS's Renan Quadros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 72nd minute, Thomás Faria ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Renan Quadros was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Renan Quadros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fábio França, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Fábio França received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Renan Quadros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 80th minute, Afonsinho Aguiar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Cepa SS's zone, Thomás Faria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Renan Quadros came out of the goal and Thomás Faria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Renan Quadros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fábio França, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 89th minute, Fábio França left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ipanema EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Carlos Fernando de Andrade hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. 94 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Cepa SS's Juarês Nunes fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Ipanema EC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
