Spectators: 7212 (Terracing: 5410, Seating: 1659, VIP seats: 143) Inhaumense FC's Célio Linares started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 minutes, Tarcisio Vergílio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sampaio Correa AFC and the Inhaumense FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tarcisio Vergílio kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonardo Rezende got free with Moisés Rodrigues in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Tomás Marquez came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Sampaio Correa AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomás Marquez couldn't finish the play. Miguel Vargas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Tales Donato tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Sampaio Correa AFC's Valdomiro das Neves got a free kick in the 34th minute. Cássio Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Tales Donato stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miguel Vargas's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Inhaumense FC's attentive João Adolfo Tande managed to snatch the ball when Dinei Magalhães made a throw-in in the 43rd minute of the game. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Miguel Vargas made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Célio Linares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 57 minutes into the match, Inhaumense FC's goalkeeper Tales Donato had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Miguel Vargas. 62 minutes into the match, Sampaio Correa AFC's goal looked a bit too open when João Adolfo Tande came free, but Moisés Rodrigues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Moisés Rodrigues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Célio Linares in the 65th minute of play. Moisés Rodrigues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Fernando Leão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 69 minutes of play, Inhaumense FC's Leonardo Rezende made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Moisés Rodrigues was left in no man's land by his defense there! Moisés Rodrigues came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Inhaumense FC's João Adolfo Tande. But to his dismay, João Adolfo Tande quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The supporters of Sampaio Correa AFC booed when Inhaumense FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hernani Novaes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ramón Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomás Marquez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 85th minute, Miguel Vargas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tales Donato. The goal made the score 2-1. Luís Fernando Leão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Moisés Rodrigues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Sampaio Correa AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Hélio Pontes came free, but Moisés Rodrigues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramón Lara in the 93rd minute of play forced Sampaio Correa AFC's goalkeeper Moisés Rodrigues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
