SERRASUL's zone, Tomás Marquez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Paranaense came out of the goal and Tomás Marquez tried to chip the ball over his head. Moisés Rodrigues dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Moisés Rodrigues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kléberson Silva in the 25th minute of the match. Sampaio Correa AFC's Moisés Rodrigues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Murilo Félix in the 26th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Zé Carlos Silveira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The E.C. SERRASUL fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Carlos Paranaense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Marquez in the 35th minute of play. Sampaio Correa AFC's Moisés Rodrigues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kléberson Silva in the 36th minute of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kléberson Silva made a kick off. In the 56th minute of the match Erasmo Matorin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Moisés Rodrigues showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 57 minutes of play Sampaio Correa AFC's Tarcisio Vergílio was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miguel Vargas in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Paranaense saved E.C. SERRASUL from getting behind. The supporters of E.C. SERRASUL booed when Sampaio Correa AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomás Marquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Moisés Rodrigues was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Zé Carlos Silveira showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 68 minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 72 minutes into the game, when Valdomiro das Neves put in a rough tackle. The supporters of E.C.
