Alvenápolis F.C.'s Frédson Tepedino got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 10 minutes into the match, Alvenápolis F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when José Carlos Bueno came free, but Fernando de Salles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jânio Machado in the 14th minute of play forced Alvenápolis F.C.'s goalkeeper Fernando de Salles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 15 played minutes Alvenápolis F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Frédson Tepedino. After a defensive mix-up in Arranca Toco FC's zone, Renan Furlan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnaldo Maia came out of the goal and Renan Furlan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 23rd minute Jânio Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando de Salles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the game, Luís Eduardo Motta threw the ball into play from the sideline. Alvenápolis F.C.'s Osvaldo Mandrak quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 32nd minute, Arranca Toco FC's Jânio Machado ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fernando de Salles. Fernando de Salles yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Renan Furlan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaldo Maia having to interfere. Luís Eduardo Motta's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Fernando de Salles firmly grabbed it by the left post. Osvaldo Mandrak kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Fernando de Salles didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nicolas Donatello went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tostão Queirós to strike the kick off in the second half. Fernando de Salles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolas Donatello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 54th minute, Luís Eduardo Motta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Arranca Toco FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. If Renan Furlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 61 minutes, Osvaldo Mandrak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alvenápolis F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Osvaldo Mandrak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ediberto Siqueira's late challenge caught a Arranca Toco FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ediberto Siqueira helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Alvenápolis F.C.'s Ediberto Siqueira got a free kick in the 64th minute. 67 minutes into the match, Alvenápolis F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Jânio Machado came free, but Fernando de Salles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fernando de Salles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolas Donatello in the 69th minute of the match. Renan Furlan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alvenápolis F.C.'s Fernando de Salles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas Donatello in the 76th minute of play. Fernando de Salles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Vander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 87th minute Gabriel Vander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando de Salles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frédson Tepedino charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Frédson Tepedino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Frédson Tepedino kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. In the 90th minute, Jânio Machado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fernando de Salles was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. The audience held their breath when Osvaldo Mandrak in the 94th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Arnaldo Maia's left hand side. A collision led to Alvenápolis F.C. getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Osvaldo Mandrak hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 99 minutes, José Carlos Bueno put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Fernando de Salles. For all the effort they put into the match, the Alvenápolis F.C. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Arranca Toco FC.
