Natanael de Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roberto Tinoco having to interfere. Caio Prado's Erasmo Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by William Paraense in the 6th minute of play. In the 8th minute, Nelson Hermes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Indios SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Erasmo Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliézer Brasil, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. If William Paraense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Indios SS booed when Caio Prado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nestor Magalhães didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erasmo Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from William Paraense, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. If Natanael de Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquim Messias scored 0-2 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Erasmo Azevedo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nelson Hermes struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Erasmo Azevedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Indios SS. Erasmo Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim Messias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Natanael de Amaral made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, William Paraense dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Erasmo Azevedo, 0-3. With his leg Erasmo Azevedo managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when Indios SS's Eliézer Brasil fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Erasmo Azevedo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but William Paraense showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 60 minute of play. In the 70th minute William Paraense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erasmo Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Caio Prado's zone, William Paraense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erasmo Azevedo came out of the goal and William Paraense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Natanael de Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Roberto Tinoco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Natanael de Amaral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Caio Prado's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Nelson Hermes 95 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-5. Indios SS were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Caio Prado's much stronger midfield.
