After a defensive mix-up in Crato's zone, Umberto Moreira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angelo Rezende came out of the goal and Umberto Moreira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Dé Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dorival Linares made in the 14th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Abelardo Guimarães immediately put the ball in play. In the 14th match minute, Pinto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Adolfo Linhares to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute, Duarte Urbano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Teodoro Guerrero was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After 20 minutes of play, Crato's Duarte Urbano made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Teodoro Guerrero was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lúcio Sabóia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Angelo Rezende made a huge save. Angelo Rezende made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felippe de Souza in the 31st minute. Ramiro de Moraes kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. After 32 played minutes Crato got a freekick which was hit by Dorival Linares. Dé Magalhães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Pinto players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Crato were winning 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Umberto Moreira made a kick off. Enrique Pena charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Enrique Pena the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 54th minute, Enrique Pena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dorival Linares made in the 56th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Abelardo Guimarães immediately put the ball in play. 61 minutes into the match, Pinto's goalkeeper Teodoro Guerrero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Duarte Urbano. Felippe de Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Angelo Rezende tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ramiro de Moraes kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Samuca Pena's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Angelo Rezende read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. If Samuca Pena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If João Adolfo Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Angelo Rezende took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuca Pena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felippe de Souza struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Angelo Rezende didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pinto. Angelo Rezende came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Pinto's Samuca Pena. But to his dismay, Samuca Pena quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Crato's Angelo Rezende played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuca Pena in the 92nd minute of play. Lúcio Sabóia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Rezende having to interfere. Chants of Crato echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Pinto had held the ball for most of the match.
