The Languiru SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Giovanni Monteiro should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ronaldo Nazario got free with Giovanni Monteiro in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Adrianinho Neto took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Giovanni Monteiro to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Languiru SC's Rubens Gomes got a free kick in the 14th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Adrianinho Neto notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Languiru SC's Giovanni Monteiro. Giovanni Monteiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 18th minute Arif Gaffar Başkara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovanni Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Bonninal's Ronaldo Nazario slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Giovanni Monteiro. That made the score 4-0 after 21 minutes of play. In the 27th minute, Adrianinho Neto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bonninal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Ronaldo Nazario took a quick shot and it went in 6-0 without a chance for Giovanni Monteiro to make any attempt to save it. Giovanni Monteiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eric Karlsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Adrianinho Neto kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. With a little luck, Languiru SC's Giovanni Monteiro got control of the ball when Ronaldo Nazario tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 47th minute, Bonninal's Ronaldo Nazario ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Giovanni Monteiro. Giovanni Monteiro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 7-0.

In the 52nd minute Luís Paulo de Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chicão de Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Ivo Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot. Languiru SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ivo Vale was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chicão de Senna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo Nazario in the 55th minute of play forced Languiru SC's goalkeeper Giovanni Monteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 68 minutes of play, Bonninal's Ronaldo Nazario made it 9-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Giovanni Monteiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bonninal made a substitution. Narciso Loureiro replaced Eric Karlsson. 75 minutes into the game, Dorival Chaves cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 10-0. Giovanni Monteiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Giovanni Monteiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Nazario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Caetano Penha kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Laerte Veloso during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Bonninal getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Laerte Veloso hit a great ball. 82 minutes into the match, Bonninal's goalkeeper Chicão de Senna had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valdo Fernandes. Giovanni Monteiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cao Ling Yi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th minute, Adrianinho Neto made a precise shot to the right of Giovanni Monteiro. Languiru SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 11-0. After a rather tough play, Bonninal's Mauro Galvão got a free kick in the 90th minute. In the 92nd minute, Cao Ling Yi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Giovanni Monteiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 12-0. After some careless play in the Bonninal defense, Valdo Fernandes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Chicão de Senna. The Bonninal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Chicão de Senna should have stopped the shot. There was no doubt that Bonninal were the better team. Bonninal's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
